Wondering what foods cause belly fat? Here are a few that you should avoid at all costs.
Let’s go over a few of the basics first. What kinds of foods should you automatically assume make you gain weight? Here is a list of a few common things that you’re PROBABLY eating right NOW, and I’ll show you what you should replace them with.

1. White Rice.

Ah, white rice. This definitely #1 on the “What Foods Cause Belly Fat” list. Who doesn’t eat white rice? If you’re eating it, then you’re packing on some carbs that are bad for you. White rice loads you up with “bad carbs” that go straight to your stomach.

Eat brown rice instead. Brown rice, or wild rice, are very good and will give you “good carbs.” Even if you just make this change alone, you will be taking in much less calories. It’s a great place to start.

2. Soda.

Okay, we know Soda isn’t a food – but we drink so much of it that it has to be mentioned. Drink juices instead. The sugar in Soda turns into fat, and then it makes you pack on the pounds. Put the soda down… Water and juices are great alternatives.

3. Sugary cereals.

We all eat cereal quite a bit, and that’s fine. However, avoid the ones with a lot of sugar. Frosted Flakes, Froot Loops, Captain Crunch… Packed with sugars. Again, sugars turn into fat. These are horrible for you and really make you pack on the pounds. If you want something that is as easy to eat cereal, but is actually GOOD for you, then you should consider eating oatmeal. It’s great, healthy, and very quick to prepare.
